Are you Starving 4 waffles? If you are, Starving Artist is the place to be with an extensive menu of .. waffles! Beware that the lineups can get quite long, approx. 30 mins or more if you don’t come early. The restaurant itself was nice and there were lots of space between tables, which is quite rare in Toronto restaurants these days.

C got the B.Benny and she mentioned that it was decent, however I thought $14 for something as simple as egg benedict is quite expensive though.

The chicken was dry and bland, no sign of jalapeno at all. My other friend can’t eat spicy food yet she was able to take a bite, which means this wasn’t spicy at all!

The only difference between the breakfast waffles and B.Benny is that mine doesn’t have hollandaise sauce. I thought the potato waffle would be light and crisp, similar to latkes, instead I found the texture to be quite mussy. The poached egg is fine, I mean, you can’t call yourself a brunch place if you mess up a poached egg anyways.
As you can tell I’m not a fan of Starving Artist and I don’t think I would come back. The service wasn’t good nor attentive, and the food took quite a long time to arrive. Also, what’s with the cash only policy?
