[Recipe] Italpasta’s Mac N Cheese

Mac N’ Cheese

Have you heard of Italpasta? I’m sure you guys have seen this brand before at all the grocery stores that you visit! I actually have been buying their pasta products for YEARS now (my mom actually recommended it to me :p). Founded in 1989, this Canadian company has grown to become a premium pasta manufacture and the #1 pasta brand in Ontario.

I think I have mentioned before, I actually crave for pasta more than rice. Pasta is my ultimate comfort food and I would always have a bag of spaghettini in my cupboard. Recently Italpasta have launched their new prepared pasta dinners and I was lucky enough to receive a few packs of their original mac and cheese. Their Macaroni and Cheese dinner comes in three varieties – Original; Extra Creamy; White Cheddar. They are made with 100% Canadian wheat and real cheddar cheese! I know there are tons of creative recipes out there using mac and cheese, such as Mac n Cheese Pizza & Mac n Cheese Stuffed Sliders, I decided to go simple with few staple ingredients that would be found in your fridge :).

Italpasta Mac N’ Cheese dinner, Milk, Butter

INGREDIENTS

  • Milk, butter, water, ItalPasta!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Boil the pasta (do not cover the pot) until al dente. Occasionally stir to ensure the pasta does not get stuck at the bottom of the pot. Once it is ready, strain the macaroni and pour it back into the pot.
  2. In the pot, empty the package of cheese, and add milk + butter. I suggest pouring the milk slowly until you get the mac and cheese to the consistency of your liking. And voila! Super simple and quick recipe right? Perfect for those cold days :).
