Pancho’s Bakery is a little bakery that is known for their traditional Mexican treats and churros with fillings! This bakery is part of a food court where you can find a wide varieties of shops that sell different type of cuisine.
Other than their brick and mortar store, Pancho’s bakery also have food trucks and I remember seeing them at most of the festivals in the GTA. Hence if you are unable to make it to the stores, look out for their food trucks!

Pancho’s Bakery was filled with this amazing aroma from freshly made churros covered in sugar! The deep fried churros was crispy outside yet soft and warm on the inside. I have tried both the chocolate and the dulce de leche fillings previously and I preferred the chocolate than the other. The dulce de leche was essentially sweetened milk and had a similar texture to caramel, however it was a bit too sweet for my liking. With that said, you can taste a slight bitterness in the chocolate, which made the churros not overly sweetened.
My only complain (hence the -0.5 in rating :p) was that they aren’t very generous with the fillings, as it didn’t go all the way in and was just enough on the surface. Overall I don’t think you can go wrong with $1.50 for a churros and it’s a great tasty snack for strolling around Kensington Market!
