Event: Sweetery Toronto
Address: David Pecaut Square, 215 King Street West, M5V 3G2, Toronto.
When: Aug 20 -21

Back in August, I was invited to the Sweetery event where you can satisfy your sweet tooth for the entire day! Just like last year, the event seeks to showcase the culinary arts of local Toronto chefs and businesses. All the proceeds from the sweet related games will be donated toward Second Harvest as well! Since I have been to Sweetery last year (recap here), I knew how the event worked and I’m glad I was able to visit the event earlier to avoid the regular crowds.
Just a quick recap of how Sweetery Toronto worked:
- There is NO entrance fee to enter the food festival.
- To purchase food/drinks, you can pay either in cash or debit/credit where accepted.
Overall I thought the venue for this year was definitely better as there were ample of umbrellas for people to rest under in that humid day. There were a good variety of dessert only vendors as well. The only issue I found with this year was that some of the vendors were not media-friendly, meaning they either didn’t bother to provide samples nor set up a dish to photograph.
Below is a list of some of the participating dessert-only vendors. In addition, if you didn’t feel like having sweets for breakfast, there were several savoury food trucks as well!
Dessert-only vendors: Daango, Eva’s Original Chimneys, Golden Crumb Biscuits, I love puffy love, Andrea’s Gerrard St. Bakery
Savoury vendors: Heirloom Toronto, The Mighty Cob.

- Cow – Tofu Cheesecake
- Pig – lap cheong (Chinese sausage and maple).
- Duck – salted duck egg
